Mike Marrello had began training with Jeff Curran a few years ago. Shortly after his commitment to training Mike was put to the test in his first amateur bout. He did not let down. He showed his desire and his true love for fighting that same night. He hasn't stopped since. Marrello has become arguably the most popular fighter to grace the cage in the XFO and has shown more support than any other fighter to that organization.

Marrello has had the opportuntiy to be a contender on the hit Ultimate Fighter series, TUF, but fell to a tough decision loss to Gerald Harris at his 185lb debut. "I never made the weight cut to 185, it was tough to get there, let alone stay there for the remainder of the filming. I think the loss was a blessing in disquise" says mike when asked about his experience on TUF. Marrello came home with a new devotion to his life after welcoming his new baby into his and his wifes family. Adjusting to the family life, taking on a new job and new scheduled is not enough to keep this guy down. Marrello is featured on the December 6th XFO card at the Lakemore Banquet Facility and will be making his return to the XFO cage while making his debut at Heavyweight. "I always fought at 205, but with the new job and less time to train with the new family, it seems like a natural fit. My coaches, Jeff Curran and Doug Mango feel strong ab out the decision. I think I will be more agile and faster than my opponents at this weight without having to diet" said Marrello when asked about his decision behind moving up in weight classes.
